Student club such as Student Regiment (MENWA) at UMY can benefit students so that they possess empathy to community,” Sri declared.

The MoU signed by UMY parties was dealing with Discipline Education, Yongmoodo Self-Defense Training, National Defense Training, and other program conducted in Bantul. Besides, Kodim signed MoU regarding actualizing Sapta Marga and Sumpah Prajurit to support training in Bantul territory that needs cooperation and active participation of all community elements including higher education.

UMY has been contributing to realize Sapta Marga through MENWA. “I wish this cooperation can interweave good relationship, and student activities such as MENWA can always contribute and support to implement tri dharma perguruan tinggi (Three Principles of Higher Education),” Inf. Agus hoped.
