Round of 8 of Indonesia ABU Robot Contest was more interesting than the previous rounds. Almost every match each team could give feedback. It began a match between Riny from Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS) and Rengganis from Surabaya State University (UNESA). The match took 3 minutes 28 seconds and Riny from ITS won with the score 5-1.

Another match was between Daeng Ramang from University if Hasanuddin and TE-PAK from Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung. The teams often gave feedback each other till they made deuce when game point so that they had to add two points to win the game. Ultimately, TE-PAK won over Daeng Damng with the score 6-4.

Besides, the supporters yelled in the match between Dagominton from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Lexarga V.2 from Politek Negeri Semarang. The teams also has deuce with the score 6-6. The judge stated that the score was not considered to decide the winner, but the feedback. Then, the judge decided penalty kick to serve. Dagominton successfully made it, but unfortunately Lexarga V.2 did not so that Dagominto won with the score 8-6.

In the last match of quarterfinal round, IC_ROATA from University of Tadulako, Palu, Central Sulawesi won over Roobics from University of Telkom with the score 5-0. Thus, four teams went to quarter final was Riny from Sepuluh November Institute of Technology, Invicto from University of Brawijaya, TE-PAK from Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung, Barelang from Politeknik Negeri Batam, Dagominton from Bandung Institute of Technology, IC_Roata from University of Tadulako Palu Sulawesi Tengah, Irtonas from Politeknik Negeri Jember, and Blue Deep from Universitas Budi Luhur
