Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P. officially inaugurated twenty unit heads of period 2017-2021 based on the Decree of Rector of UMY No. 158/SK/UMY/VII/2013. He told them to prioritize institutional interests and to be in line with the rector’s policies.
“I wish that these new heads could commence to think interests of this institution and Muhmmadiyah. I hope that you do not work for certain groups’ interests. Do not obey me as the rector, but adhere to institution policies made by the rector. We can share and provide recommendations for this institution and for the rector himself,” stated Dr. Gunawan in his remark of Unit Head Inauguration of UMY on 27 Ramadhan 1438H.
Dr. Gunawan, who is also a lecturer of Faculty of Agriculture, the new heads can contribute to maintain UMY’s ‘A’ accreditation by AIPT (Higher Education Institution Accreditation). “A minimal score of ‘A’ accreditation by AIPT was 3.70 and now many universities have known strategies to increase the score. This becomes our homework,” he said.

Gatot Supangkat, M.P. as Head of Research, Publication, and Community Services; Sugito,S.IP., M.Si. as Head of Student and Alumni Development; M. Khaeruddin Hamsin, Lc., M.A., Ph.D. as Head of Islamic Study and Implementation; Eko Priyo Purnomo, S.IP., M.Si., M.Res., Ph.D. as Head of Cooperation Office; Heru Sukamto as Head of Academic Affairs; Rini Juni Astuti, S.E.,M.Si as Head of Human Resources; Aris Nuryanto, S.H. as Head of Public Affairs; Dr. Danang Wahyu Muhammad., S.H., M.Hum. as Head of Law Affairs, Bagus Soebandono, S.T., M.Eng. as Head of Assets; Andan Yunianto, S.E., M.Sc., Akt., CA as Head of Finance; Alni Rahmawati, S.E., M.M. as Head Financial and Asset Development; Dr. Siti Dyah Handayani, S.E., M.M. as Head of Student Admissions, Ratih Herningtyas, S.IP., M.A. as Head of Public Relations and Protocol; Yordan Gunawan, S.H., MBA., M.H. as Head of International Relations Office; Drs. Lasa, M.Si as Head of Library; Drs. Muhsin Hariyanto ,M.Ag. as Head of University Residence; and Drs. Bambang Rahmanto as Head of University Secretariat Office.
“The new heads begin to work today (22/6) to June 30, 2021. Good luck and may Allah always give His blessing to us and our institution,” declared Dr. Gunawan.
