Four students and a supervisor of Department of Nursing of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) had a short course at Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), Thailand on March 12-19, 2017. The students were Fajar Bagus Saputra (2015), Nadila Putri Mayna (2015), Yunita Nur Puspasari (2013), and Indri Lestari (2013).

The supervisor Nurvita Risdiana, S.Kep., Ns., M.Sc. informed that the students had passed the selection process. “The students should possess GPA of over 3.00, be actively involved in academic and non-academic activities, and be able to speak English fluently,” she mentioned in an interview on Thursday (16/3).

She also said that the program is one of the international program of UBU. “We were invited by the UBU. This invitation can reinforce academic cooperation of both parties,” told Nurvita.

She added that the students would learn health sciences which have not existed yet in Indonesia. “We study public health system at Faculty of Medicine and Public Health Sciences of Ubon Ratchathani University focusing on biomedical sciences for nurses and medical students,” she asserted.
