Kompetisi Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional (PIMNAS) ke-31 tahun 2018 ini akan dilaksanakan di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) pada 28 Agustus hingga 2 September mendatang. Kompetisi ide kreatif mahasiswa tersebut akan diikuti oleh 440 tim Program Kreatifitas Mahasiswa (PKM) dari 136 perguruan tinggi dari seluruh Indonesia. Program Studi (Prodi) Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) kembali berhasil mendapatkan akreditasi “A” dengan nilai 367. Keputusan ini dikeluarkan oleh Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT) melalui Surat Keputusan (SK) dengan nomor 2016/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VII/2018 pada, (31/7).
