This year, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) will once again hold the International Conference on Sustainable Innovation (ICOSI) on October 13-14, 2020. However, the implementation of ICOSI 2020 will include a change in the system of activities. Where all speakers and presenters of papers and participants will exchange ideas through online media. In ICOSI 2020, UMY will carry the theme of Cutting-Edge Innovations on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
UMY Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Sukamta, M.T said that the theme will be closely related to the world conditions at the moment. Currently. the challenges are more complex. This includes the challenges in the economy, food security, poverty, all affected by the COVID 19 pandemic that is still sweeping the world that threatens various aspects.
Chair of the ICoSI 2020 committee, Dr. Yeni Rosilawati, SIP, SE., M.M, a lecturer at the UMY Communication Studies Program also said that ICOSI 2020 will become an arena for scientists, lecturers, researchers and policy makers to present their ideas and works. Se hopes this conference can make a real contribution to the goals of sustainable development (SDGs).
Yeni also said that last year, ICoSI 2019 was attended by more than 1000 participants as well as speakers from various countries in the world and managed to collect 1200 abstract papers. ICOSI 2020 will hold 14 different conferences from various disciplines simultaneously which will be held in a predetermined time span.

ICPU (2nd International Conference on Pharmaceutical Updates), ICOMS (6th International Conference on Management Sciences), ICLAS (9th International Conference on Law and Society), ICMHS (4th International Conference Medical and Health Sciences).
ICAF (6th International Conference for Accounting and Finance), ILEC (2nd International Language and Education Conference), ICONURS (2nd International Conference on Nursing), ICITAMEE (International Conference on Information Technology, Advanced Mechanical and Electrical Engineering), IConARD (2nd International Conference of Agribusiness and Rural Development).
ICONPO (10th International Conference on Public Organization), ISHERSS (2nd International Symposium on Social Humanities Education and Religious Sciences), DREAM (5th Dental Research and Exhibition Meeting (DREAM), ICHA (International Conference on Hospital Administration), and ICoSA (3rd International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture).
This conference is open to the public, by first registering through https://icosi.umy.ac.id/ with a registration fee of 300 thousand rupiah per person. Registration is open until October 12, 2020. (Ak)
