Muhammadiyah Officially Released Anthem and Batik Motif for its 48th Muktamar

Muhammadiyah will hold its 48th Muktamar (Conference)  in the City of Solo, Central Java on 1-5 July 2020. To celebrate the event, Muhammadiyah officially launched new batik motifs and the 48th Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah anthem at the 107th Muhammadiyah Anniversary event on, Monday (11/18) at the UMY Sportorium Building.

The 48th Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Muktamar song is titled “Derap Berkemajuan” written directly by the Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Board Dr. H. Haedar Nashir, M.SI. He hopes that members of the company will always be merciful and grateful for what has been done for the country.

“We all look forward to develop the nation and. The Muktamar should a place to create new relationships, as shown in the lyrics of the Muktamar song. “Di Solo kita jalin ukhuwah, Muktamar satukan langkah, bersama kita majukan Indonesia. Di Solo kita jalin ukhwah, muktamar satukan langkah, bersama kita cerahkan semesta”,” he stated.

This song was composed by musician Eross Candra, the guitarist of Sheila on 7. This song was first sung by a team from UMY Student Choir, Sun Shine Voice, accompanied by the UMY Orchestra Team, Sang Surya Philharmonic UMY.

The 48th Muhammadiyah congressional batik logo consists of two main motifs, namely the Garuda Symbol and the Parang Rusak. The Garuda motif consists of two wings and in a body and a tail that symbolizes strength and life. They represent the power to break poverty and the end of ignorance with religion and science. It makes use of religious life to achieve the morality of the world and the beyond.

Meanwhile the Parang Rusak motive means never giving up, like the sea waves that never stop moving. This motif also illustrates the unbroken connections, both in terms of efforts to improve themselves, efforts to fight for welfare and in the form of family ties. The symbolic launching of the convention batik motif was carried out by a signing session on batik cloth by Haedar Nashir and the Chairwoman of the Central Board of Aisyiyah Dra.
