The Doctorate Program of Islamic Education Psychology of UMY Conducts a Workshop on Academic Writing

 

A Doctorate Program of Islamic Education Psychology (PPI) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) conducted a workshop on Academic Writing and Publishing for Academic Journal on Friday (29/9) at building of Graduate School of UMY. The workshop was an effort of UMY to enhance its educational quality.

A workshop speaker Prof. Martha Catherine Beck from Lyon College Arkansas, the United States encourage students to keep writing. She also explained how to write an international journal from various perspectives.

Meanwhile, a committee of the workshop Dr. Aris Fauzan, S.Ag., M.A. told, “The workshop aimed to motivate students not only to write a journal but also to publish it in international journal.” Aris informed that the output of the workshop was a journal written by the doctorate students.

Besides, Director of Graduate School of UMY Sri Atmaja P. Rosyidi, S.T., MSc.Eng., Ph.D., P.E. was delighted to have Prof. Martha as the workshop speaker. He also expected that students can have an output of writing an international journal.

Indeed, Dr. Kardimini from UIN maintained that this workshop aimed to provide new knowledge of international mind and oral as well as written English. “I wish that students can be well-prepared to compete in international levels as writing journals in English so that they can inspire others,” he hoped.
