Following up a Visit to Taiwan, ASIA University and UMY Sign MoU

Universitas Muhammdiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) always commits to enhancing educational quality of the academicians through cooperating with various institutions in Indonesia and overseas. To embody UMY credo ‘Muda Mendunia’ and to be a world-class university, UMY signed another Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

On Thursday (31/8) at Graduate School of UMY, Rector of UMY Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P. signed MoU with ASIA University, Taiwan. The MoU signing was a follow-up of a visit of UMY to several universities in Taiwan. The MoU aimed at fostering potential of each party.

The cooperation of both universities focuses on student mobility, faculty and staff mobility through conducting exchanges or visiting professor programs. The MoU also provides occasions for both institution to develop joint curriculum, to conduct research collaboration, to have exchange and sharing of reaching and academic materials, publications, references, and other pertinent information.

Both institutions agreed that specific projects and activities shall be developed for implementation of the Memorandum. Indeed, the MoU signing was expected to foster quality of both institution.
