Engineering Faculty of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) cooperated with Faculty of Engineering of Kasetsart University, Thailand.

Both parties signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday (27/7). UMY was represented by Dean of Engineering Faculty, Jazaul, S.T.,M.T., Ph.D. and head of cooperation office, Indira Prabasari, Ph.D., while Kasetsart University was delegated by Assistant Dean for International Affairs for the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Paramaporn S.

Before signing the MoU, both parties acquainted each university and academic activities of each faculties. After the MoU signing, they discussed further the cooperation.

Indra Prabasari stated that UMY has cooperated with several Thai universities in student exchange, staff exchange, joint research, and others. “UMY and Kasersart University will cooperate in joint research and joint article. For further cooperation, we can conduct staff exchange, and invite professors of Kasersart University to teach at UMY for three weeks, and vice versa,” Indira informed.

Additionally, a lecturer of Engineering Faculty of Kasersart University, Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, warmly welcomed the cooperation. “Cooperation activities can be commenced from proposing a specific joint research proposal,” Wanchai argued.

Indeed, the MoU will be issued for five years since it was signed.
