Welcoming 4600 freshmen of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) of academic year 2016/2017, Student Executive Board (BEM) of UMY invited them to choreograph 9 faculty symbols of UMY.

3500 freshmen engaged in the choreography conducted on Sunday (4/9) at football pitch of UMY. They also created a form of star and letters of UMY, The 3500 freshmen were divided into two groups that 2500 freshmen performed the formation while the others coined a frame.

Sutan Kumala Pontas Nasution, Vice President of BEM of UMY stated, “The choreography is one of BEM’s programs to greet the freshmen so that they will be impressed.”

Sutam told that BEM cooperated with Public Relations and Protocol Office of UMY to document the choreography. “I thank to all parties such as the freshmen, faculty committee, medical team, and documentation team for their support to succeed the event,” Pontan expressed.

The choreography will be displayed on Orientation Day, 6 September 2016. “The choreography will amaze them,” he believed.

One of the affairs at Public Relations and Protocol Office of UMY, Erwan Sudiwijaya, S.Sos., MBA inserted, “Alhamdulillah, the choreography ran well. Public Relations and Protocol Office and the document team were satisfying. Thank you for everything.”

Additionally, 4600 freshmen accepted at UMY after passing one of UMY’s test as a written test, Computer Based Test (CBT), and PNUAN.
