A Bazaar and Exhibition of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah XIII Officially Opened

A bazaar and exhibition of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah XII was officially opened on Thursday (25/8) in east area of Sportorium of UMY. Marking the official opening was cutting a ribbon and releasing balloons by Hj. Dyah Suminar, S.E., chairperson of Economy and Entrepreneurship Body (MEK) of Aisyiyah as well as a successful entrepreneur of Yogyakarta.

Felandi Prakoso, coordinator of the bazaar, reported that there were 72 stands in the bazaar. “The stands consist of culinary and non-culinary stands. Most of the stands are from the members of Nasyiyatul Aisyiyah Entrepreneur Association (APUNA), and the others are from public,” she said.

The bazaar and exhibition aimed at enlivening the Nasyiatul Aisyiyah congress. “In the first day, people look enthusiastic about the bazaar and exhibition,” she informed.

The bazaar and exhibition is conducted till Sunday, 28 August 2016. Before the opening, there was talk show of APUNA history. Besides, there were art performances by Muhammadiyah elementary students.

Department Head of Economy of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah, El Yusra Mualimin informed that the bazaar and exhibition provided products for women. “It is line with the theme of the congress, ‘Young Women’s Movement for nation independence’, and it is because the participants and cadres of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah are women,” she conveyed.

“The participants from outside Yogyakarta can buy local souvenirs in the bazaar and exhibition,” she inserted.

She expected that the bazaar and exhibition encourage cadres of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah to possess high sosiopreneurship. “High female sosiopreneurs are tough independent women,” he ended.
