“We just uploaded 1,028 documents for an assessment of Higher Education Institution Accreditation (AIPT). The documents were dealing with students, budgeting, and community services. Besides, 28 percent of the documents were regarding university governance which refers to capabilities of officials controlling their unit. Their abilities were mentioned on UMY staff pages which we will show to assessors. Thus, these new officials are expected to enhance their performance. I would like to emphasize on the significance of being punctual. Good luck, everyone!” declared Gunawan.

Furthermore, Chairperson of Board of Trustees of UMY Prof. Syamsul Anwar also congratulated the new officials. “I thank all new official for devoting their time and efforts to assist rector of UMY to evolve this university. May this inauguration be endowed. I wish that UMY can collaborate with Muhammadiyah well since this university is one of the Muhammadiyah institutions. Therefore, besides enhancing the education and performing community services, these people can benefit Muhammadiyah,” he hoped.

“Indeed, I envisaged that UMY can help other lower educational institutions as they often encounter ups and downs. I wish that UMY can assist them to cope with their problems so that they can be better and be developed. Meanwhile, there will be a new airport in Yogyakarta and I expect that UMY can see various economic potentials so that Muhammadiyah can also leverage the opportunities. This is synergy between UMY and Muhammadiyah,” ended Prof. Syamsul.
